If you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia or appear to be experiencing any of the symptoms mentioned above, you can do some preventive maintenance to see if your body has a reaction either for the better or not. If you suspect that you may have any of the above symptoms, try avoiding some of the following foods from your diet:

  • Aspartame (Sweetener) all forms including sucralose and saccharin
  • MSG (Monosodium glutamate)
  • Sugar, Fructose
  • Caffeine (instant coffee, tea, soda pop)
  • Corn

Each person will experience different reactions to the foods being avoided mentioned above. If you should be experiencing any of the symptoms of fibromyalgia, start by avoiding:

As you begin eliminating these three food types from your diet, see how your body is reacting by not eating them. Are you feeling less fatigued? Are you sleeping any better? Are your bowel movements improving? All these symptoms can be observed by you. If you notice any improvement, then continue to stay off the foods you’ve eliminated.

The next food to avoid is sugar. This one will be the most difficult because you may experience some withdrawal symptoms to sugar as your body detox’s.

The next foods to remove are caffeine, MSG, and aspartame in that order. Some individuals can avoid all of these items at once while others will need to work at it. The bottom line here is that all seven of these food items should be avoided and the sooner the better.
